All events organised by the DSAA or a DSAA Group are events of the Association of Motorcycle and Automobile Clubs (the AMA), which means we must comply with the guidelines, best practice and operational standards as set by the AMA.
All AMA sanctioned events are required to comply with the General Events Code and is the basis for which all DSAA events operate. Under the AMA code, the main activities of the DSAA or a DSAA chapter are identified as 'social gatherings' and 'recreation rides'.
All DSAA social gatherings are to be governed by the Social Events Code and are to be managed by an Official called the Event Organiser. All DSAA recreation rides are to be governed by the Recreation Events Code and are to be supervised by an Official called the Recreation Leader.
